Myths and Heroes: A musical journey through legend, conflict and heroic scale.
The Winelands Philharmonic Orchestra presents: Myths & Heroes: A musical journey through legend, conflict and heroic scale, as part of the Endler Concert Series. The programme opens with two orchestral works inspired by European myth and folklore, Dvorák’s The Noon Witch, and Sibelius’s The Swan of Tuonela.
The concert concludes with Eroica, Beethoven’s monumental 3rd Symphony, and one of the most important and powerful symphonies in the orchestral repertoire. This carefully curated winter programme brings together dramatic storytelling and large-scale symphonic writing, offering audiences an engaging and high-quality orchestral experience by one of the Cape Winelands’ leading ensembles.
