How often do you prepare for days for an audition? How often do you tarnish your name before a casting director who simply shouts ‘next!’? How many times do you sing until the veins on your forehead feel like they might burst, only to hear that someone younger, fitter and with whiter teeth got the role? Two actors share their stories – the highs and the lows of what really happens behind the scenes, and just how hard you have to work for just a call-back, irrespective of whether it’s to play the wolf in a reimagined version of Little Red Riding Hood or to be a featured extra in a Vin Diesel film.
