THE [STATE]MENT is a tense, dark comic political drama set in a boardroom where government and corporate officials meet to craft a public statement after a national tragedy. What begins as a formal discussion quickly unravels into a power struggle filled with manipulation, denial, and moral collapse.
Through sharp, rhythmic dialogue, the play exposes how language and bureaucracy are used to twist truth and shift accountability. It is a story about guilt, corruption, and the dangerous performance of leadership under pressure.
