About

iNGOMA meaning "song and dance" in isiZulu, is a celebration and showcase of the rich musical tapestry drawn from four productions: Lerumo Badimong (2023), Muntu (2023), Kama (2024), and Indabuko (2025). More than a concert, iNgoma is a living archive where music, movement, and narrative meet to honour the soul of African performance traditions. At its core, iNgoma incorporates dance and storytelling. It echoes the timeless saying “Sigiya Ngengoma” which means we dance to the song, reminding us that music and dance are not just art forms, but vessels of memory, identity, and community.

It highlights the sacred multi-marriage between African traditional rhythms, soul-stirring harmonies, and expressive movement, creating a performance that is both spiritually grounded and artistically exhilarating. As a celebration of African culture and heritage, iNgoma invites audiences to witness the power, depth, and beauty of our traditions. Join us as our talented musicians and performers paint a sonic and physical picture of African storytelling, offering an experience that is as nostalgic as it is forward-looking.
