Bassline Fest returns marking 20 years of its defining call to “Say Africa” in association with Castle Lite and Joburg Tourism.

This year’s lineup features standout performances from Ami Faku, Vusi Mahlasela, Maleh, Yugen Blakrok, Brandon Aura, and Xolani Sithole, alongside rising stars from the Rhythmic Clash winners, creating a lineup that reflects both legacy and momentum.
Set against the historic backdrop of Constitution Hill’s People’s Park, the festival offers more than music; it’s a full cultural experience, featuring curated African craft markets, diverse local food offerings, and a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere with panoramic views of Johannesburg’s skyline.

Bassline Fest also continues its commitment to industry development through the Live Music Lab, providing young creatives with hands-on experience in live event production, artist management, and music marketing. At its heart, Bassline Fest is a tribute to African excellence, where stories are told through sound, heritage is honoured, and new voices rise. It is a gathering of rhythm, identity, and pride.
