Award winning writer/performer, Louw Venter, who rose to fame as Corné from Corné and Twakkie in The Most Amazing Show, returns to the stage with his new one-man show DEAD DAD. This cutting, dark comedy is the sequel to his smash hit The Best Man’s Speech. Directed by comedy legend Rob Van Vuuren, Venter reprises his role as the hapless Lukas. But this time, instead of delivering a catastrophic speech at his best friend’s wedding, Lukas is tasked with delivering his father’s eulogy. What follows is a spectacular emotional derailment.
Through razor-sharp writing and a powerhouse comedic performance, Lukas goes through an epic emotional journey in front of friends and family, veering violently between the divine and the catastrophic.
