OPERA TRIOS: LOVE TRIANGLE is a semi-staged opera performance, with three highly talented opera singers from Opera UCT accompanied at the piano by renowned Vocal Coach/Collaborative Pianist Dr Lisa Engelbrecht who is also the Musical Director. The theme interwoven into the eight or nine excerpts from works by Handel, Mozart, Strauss, Gilbert & Sullivan, Bizet and Rossini, is love triangles, trysts and intrigue. The singers include soprano Mia-Lana Slier, mezzo-soprano Lilitha Nkuku and baritone Themba Mdlalose. This highly entertaining production was premiered at the Suidoosterfees 2026 in Cape Town. The singers are artfully choreographed by Capetonian, Michelle Hough.
