South African comedian Dalin Oliver is back on home soil and ready to hit stages at The Hilton Arts Festival with his brand-new stand-up comedy show, STUCK IN DUBAI, a wild, true story born from an experience no traveller wants. En route to perform at Adelaide Fringe, Dalin was in transit when conflict broke out in the region, leaving him stuck in Dubai for four days. What followed was a surreal mix of uncertainty, humour and viral fame.
His social media updates gained traction and Dalin unexpectedly became the “official, unofficial international news correspondent for South Africa,” earning both local and international media coverage. In classic South African style, he transformed a traumatic moment into comedy gold, finding laughter, love and lekkerness in his posts, receiving the same in return from his fellow South Africans at home and abroad. Fresh from surviving the wildest layover, and witnessing live missiles, he’s bringing chaos and adrenaline fuelled storytelling in a show that promises to be packed with explosive laughter.
