THE OPERA SINGER is a one-act play about sacrifice, legacy, and the fragile power of a voice, a personal drama that asks universal questions about memory, legacy, sacrifice and celebrity. It is an encounter between a world-famous diva at the end of her career and a young journalist eager to capture her story. Superficially it is an interview. But as the narrative and evening unfolds, it becomes something deeper: a battle of wills, a confession, and an unexpected reflection of two lives colliding. It asks questions about how an unlikely connection can reveal parts of yourself you were unaware of.
What happens when the voice people worship becomes inseparable from the person carrying it. The dialogue crackles with wit and intellect, but it also lands with emotional truth.
