Lip and tongue ties (tethered oral tissues) can have far-reaching effects beyond infancy, influencing feeding, orofacial development, airway function, and speech. Despite growing awareness, there is still variability in how these conditions are identified, understood, and managed across professions. Bringing together different perspectives is essential to build a more comprehensive, evidence-informed approach that supports better outcomes for patients across their lifespan.
