I’m MoMo And I Have Issues is a fearless and deeply personal stand-up theatre experience by multi award winning actor and director MoMo Matsunyane. In this debut comedy offering, Matsunyane steps away from scripted characters and into her own story, inviting audiences into the complexities of her lived experiences.
Known for blending humour with emotional depth in works such as UNLEARN and Ka Lebitso La Moya, she now turns the lens on herself. With sharp wit and unfiltered honesty, she reflects on growing up with a famous father, navigating the dynamics of a blended family, living with mental illness, and unpacking relationships, sex and politics in contemporary South Africa.
The production moves seamlessly between laughter and vulnerability, creating a space where comedy becomes both confession and catharsis.
