Egameni is an intimate, emotionally charged two-hander exploring the deep and complex bond between a single mother and her son.

Rooted in the cultural soil of the Eastern Cape, the production unpacks the rites of passage that define identity — a boy becoming a man, and a girl becoming a woman
— and the often-overlooked parallels between the two.
