WindWorx and the UCT Symphonic Wind Ensemble come together to honour the life and legacy of Sean Kierman in a special collaborative tribute concert. The UCT Symphonic Wind Ensemble—fifty-five talented undergraduate and postgraduate musicians—performs its first concert of 2026 under the baton of Brandon Phillips, Head of Woodwind and Ensembles at UCT.


Founded in 2005, WindWorx has long served as a dedicated platform for professional and semi-professional musicians, championing the very best of wind band repertoire. As a non-profit ensemble, it creates meaningful performance opportunities for postgraduate musicians from diverse backgrounds and sets a benchmark of excellence for wind bands across the Cape.

This concert celebrates Kierman’s musical leadership, his commitment to the wind band community, and the vibrant artistic spirit he helped cultivate.
