Members Of the Jury is a dark, surreal theatre piece where three men are trapped in a room lined with stacked files and a table overflowing with gourmet meats. Their task is simple, yet haunting as they must determine the punishment of a person they have never met, for a crime they do not know. If they fail, they will starve. Hunger turns quickly into desperation. The men eat, gag, spit, argue, and invent increasingly monstrous punishments, not in pursuit of justice, but survival.
 
When a cadaver is dragged in, they devour it with relief, mistaking consumption for decision. Names change, roles shift, bodies replace bodies, yet the cycle remains intact. Punish. Eat. Forget. Repeat. The play becomes a grotesque courtroom of power, guilt, violence, and moral erosion. As roles rotate and the cadaver becomes one of their own, the question grows louder: Who is being punished and who is truly guilty?

• For daytime shows, all visitors should park at the visitors parking on Yale Road at the Anglo – Dome.
• For visitors on foot, please use the Sutton Close Entrance, to scan your ID and make your way to the Wits Theatre
• For high schools coming to attend, all schools should report to Wits University an hour before the show, park buses at the visitors’ parking spaces by the Anglo - Dome and may make their way to the Wits Theatre.
