Triple Bill: “Solitude: Glaring I” & Solitude: Glaring II,” & “Solitude: In-Weighting” “Solitude: Glaring I” is an offering exploring and unpacking and deconstructing of the glaring and weighting of realities being confronted with solitude.

“Solitude: Glaring I” & “Solitude: Glaring II” delves into realms of confrontation – confrontation of the glaring realities invoked by the hunger and thirst to survive. Simultaneously, it is a refusal to conform, contort and combust under the concoction of fatigue, routine, and invasive oppression:
They sit, they sit in silence, haunted by an ominous shade of accumulated muck on which they now rest. Their eyes glaring with hope, anger, and revenge.

“Solitude: In Weighting” harks into herstories threaded by the umbilical cords of foremothers:
They sit, walk, and move while waiting in silence, weighed by a growing load. A load of memories and losses, (re)births and glimmers of light. This is their story.

• Safe parking available via the Station Street Entrance – off Jorissen Street after 17h00.
• For daytime shows, all visitors should park at the visitors parking on Yale Road at the Anglo – Dome.
• For visitors on foot, please use the Sutton Close Entrance, to scan your ID and make your way to the Wits Theatre
• For high schools coming to attend, all schools should report to Wits University an hour before the show, park buses at the visitors’ parking spaces by the Anglo - Dome and may make their way to the Wits Theatre.
• For Uber drop off, please use Sutton Close Entrance, to scan your ID and make your way to the Wits Theatre
• All visitors and guests PLEASE HAVE YOUR VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE OR I.D WHEN VISITING THE CAMPUS
