About

Eskom-Se-Poosh is a sharp satirical play that follows four young men who, frustrated by a collapsing system, attempt to reclaim justice for their community. In an act of resistance, they try to correct a wrong — but their mission backfires, landing them in a bizarre prison called Paradise Ya Di Kleva. Here, reality twists, truth is trapped, and the young men become “rats,” interrogated by the authoritarian “Cats,” who guard not only the prison, but the narrative.

Inside this surreal mousetrap, loyalty is tested, humour becomes survival, and the line between justice and rebellion begins to blur. Through streetwise wit and biting social commentary, the young men must piece together how their mission failed, who betrayed them, and whether they are revolutionaries — or simply criminals in the eyes of a failing system. Eskom-Se-Poosh interrogates power, resistance, and the manipulation of truth, asking: When the system fails you, who decides what justice looks like?
