LETTERS FROM TOMORROW is a dramatic play that traverses the past and present, shedding light on moments of reflection, regret, and redemption. In mid-1980s apartheid South Africa, the main characters, VAN SCHROER, a white state security agent and GQOZO, an informant, share a complex relationship characterized by an interplay of power dynamics, conflicting emotions, and mutual dependency.

On the other hand, Gqozo and his queer son, MKHONTO, navigate a tense relationship that encapsulates the collision of traditional expectations, individual identity, and the devastating impact of unaddressed prejudices, reflecting the tension between generational values, sexual identity, and the quest for familial acceptance.
In the democratic 1990s, an older van Schroer hopes to gain amnesty and redemption by giving testimony before the Truth and Reconciliation Commission about the political killing of Gqozo. The play's central conflict emerges when, in the 1980s, Van Schroer comes under pressure to obtain crucial intelligence out of Gqozo regarding one ‘Prisoner 46664’.
