After standing ovations at the Hollywood Bowl, Ravinia, The Mann Centre, and the Wolf Trap and Artscape, Janni Younge’s The Firebird comes to Gauteng for the first time. Directed by Janni Younge and choreographed by Jay Pather, the production sets Stravinsky’s electrifying score to a contemporary South African fusion of larger-than-life puppetry and powerful dance.
