ISPA’s flagship production, God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza. Directed by acclaimed actor and writer, Aaron McIlroy and performed by the 3rd year cohort, this sharp, dark comedy dissects the fragile veneer of civility with biting humour and intensity.

The International School of Performing Arts (ISPA) is proud to announce its 3rd Year Student Festival, kicking off the opening days of this year’s 031 Theatre Festival with a bold, entertaining, and thought-provoking lineup of performances.

This year's festival premieres Age of Ubuntu, a gripping new student-written and produced play by 3rd-year student Damien Butt. The story follows Marcus, an ordinary young man whose life is upended after he accidentally causes the death of another person in a road incident. Struggling under the weight of guilt, Marcus takes in the victim’s girlfriend — who is grappling with her own complex grief and sense of responsibility.

Join international cabaret artist, Tonya Koenderman in her hilarious comedy cabaret, Growing Old Disgracefully - a light-hearted, frank look at the funny side of ageing.

Come enjoy a glass of wine or six with this pint sized dynamo and enjoy a show filled with laughter and just a few tears.

The show is the bitter-sweet story of Karen Carpenter - a remarkable singer, and exceptional songwriter; a gifted drummer and a woman who could craft a melody and lyric for any milestone, heartbreak or triumph - whose music reached across the world and touched the life of a little girl called Shannon at the southern tip of Africa.

Karen Carpenter’s music and lyrics are interwoven with stories and theatrical vignettes about her life and Shannon's - both poignant and hilarious.
