The Rainmakers are back in Johannesburg, 8 years after their last performance at The Orbit! The Swiss/ Spanish/ South African band led by Bänz Oester is beaming with excitement as it will perform two concerts on the iconic John Kani stage at the Market Theatre in Newtown on Friday 7th and Sunday 9th July 2023. They will be presenting music from their 3rd and latest album Gratitude (released on ENJA Records). The band features a new tenor saxophone player from Spain, the amazing Javier Vercher, alongside long-time members Afrika Mkhize on piano, Ayanda Sikade on drums, and bassist Bänz Oester. A high voltage connection between North and South not to be missed.
